Silver Hilton Steelhead Lodge: September - October. The Silver Hilton is located on the world famous Babine River, offers some of the best wilderness trophy steelhead in the world. The facility, equipment, staff and fishing beats are absolutely superb. Silver Hilton’s season runs from September through the first week of November.

The following weeks are hosted annually by Lani Waller: the first week of September and the last week of October at The Main Camp. Other dates are usually available, but book early as spaces at Silver Hilton normally fill quickly. Worldwide Anglers is the exclusive booking agency for Silver Hilton. For brochures and further information on opportunities, contact Lani Waller at the address on this site.

Kispiox River Trophy Steelhead: October. The Kispiox River is well known among serious steelhead aficionados. Join Lani on his annual odyssey to these great waters. The trip includes six days fully guided angling, all meals and lodging.

One to three fish per day is average when conditions are good. Groups are normally limited to eight anglers. Big steelhead and beautiful waters. Lodging locations vary from season to season. Long time Kispiox resident and angler Jimmy Allen and his crew guide the group.

New Zealand Trophy Trout

In our opinion no other area in the world can surpass New Zealand for the beauty of the water, the size of the trout or the majesty of the landscapes. Our ten fishing days, two island itinerary minimizes the risk of a complete loss of a trip to bad weather in any one location and offers anglers a comprehensive selection of some of the best in New Zealand. 2005 will be our tenth year.

North Island: We headquarter at Tony Hayes’s Tongariro Lodge and by special arrangement we usually have exclusive access to wilderness and semi-wildness rivers. This includes one drainage where the fish average eight to nine pounds and go well over ten on occasion, including a few monsters in the twelve to sixteen pound class. Stillwater angling on nearby lakes offers spectacular brown and rainbow fishing for specimens over twelve pounds. North Island rainbow are normally easy to take with non-technical tackle and strategies.

South Island: Our South Island segment involves five full days of fully guided angling for trophy brown trout in the Nelson region. We headquarter at Shakleton’s Lake Rotoroa Lodge and have daily shots at wild browns from five to eight plus pounds. Larger fish are available on some rivers including some legitimate secret streams, including the infamous "River of Big fish and Long faces." South Island's trophy browns are not usually easy! It is always exciting and in our opinion provides one trout fishing’s greatest challenges in some of the world’s most spectacular landscapes.

Groups are normally limited to ten anglers and an early inquiry (July through August) is recommended.

Costa Rica Blue Water Billfish Special

This annual event offers anglers a great opportunity for sailfish on the fly. If you want your first, or hundredth sailfish on a fly, in an incredibly beautiful setting and an American-owned resort that offers great meals, and lodging, including your own swimming pool, and beautiful surroundings, this is the place. Blue Marlin are also possible and our 2004 trip produced six blue Marlin hooked on flies!

We headquarter at Rick Wallace’s famous El Ocotal Resort and the location overlooks some of the most spectacular views in the world of big game saltwater angling.

We usually fish in the month of May, when northern migrations of Pacific sails arrive from southern Costa Rica and are plentiful. Our normal itinerary offers four or five days of fishing with two anglers per boat and crew. Normal statistics show an average of five to ten sails raised per day to our teasers. Two to three fish landed per day, per angler, are common. Most of the crews speak English and all are familiar with fly fishing techniques.

Belizean Permit at Lincoln Westby’s Blue Horizon Lodge

Most experts claim no other area can surpass the opportunities to take permit on a fly than this part of Central America. We agree. Lincoln Westby’s small and unassuming camp sits in the middle of remote, semi-wilderness flats, which normally offer anglers an average of three to six shots a day at feeding and tailing permit.

Anglers fish two to a guide and boat. Stalking trophy permit on foot by wading is a specialty here and no one knows the intricacies of the game better than Lincoln and his guides. Anglers fish the tides, and Blue Horizon organizes the day around incoming and high tides, which maximizes the possibilities. Our experience has been excellent here, but like all permit fishing this is not for anyone who measures success by the numbers of fish landed.

Blue Horizon has two great advantages: there are a tremendous number of trophy-sized permit on the flats each and every day, and the lodge is situated in the center of the best of these areas. Anglers are on the water at dawn if necessary, and have the option of fishing until dark and at the best times of the tides.

Groups are limited to six anglers only. Reservations are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Other destinations for bonefish and inshore species include French Polynesia, Belize, Venezuela, Christmas Island, the Yucatan, and more. Contact us for information. We have fished most of them and can give you accurate evaluations, including up to the minute information on the continuing development of the trophy bonefish waters of Tahiti.

Additional destinations and regular bookings at all top international locations is an on-going process. Interested anglers should contact us for brochures and information on Alaska, Russia, Mongolia, The Rockies, Patagonia, and more.
